Also give some more info on the situation and you'll get some better responses, does it do it all the time, just on startup etc. In cold weather maybe? I've heard of cars having irregular idle because of many different issues, give us some info and it should narrow it down a bit more.

ill have to check it out... if there is a leak then what? any way to fix it without pulling the whole intake off again?
its 50-60 degrees out here, and when i come to a stop light it sits at like 2k then goes down to 1.5k and then back to 1 k all within about 5 seconds

I have the same problem but my idle is around 11-1200 then goes down in stages after I put in gear and sit for a sec?
I did not do anything with the intake but I did take my throttle off and took it apart to clean and polish it. I am guessing this problem has something to do with the TB not the intake? I slightly adjusted my idle set screw - any chance that might have something to do with it? I plan to mess with it this weekend but let me know if any off you figure this out.

I am pretty sure your problem is simple, you just pushed the rubber intake orings in to far, and one is not seating, do not fell bad I did the same thing, I would have never known if I did not have a vac guage, if you take the intake off get new orings, not sure if you used your old ones, but car quest if the are around your sells them for like 26.00 bucks way cheaper than gm and fast, just push them in enough to not fall off, and let the intake swish them into place, no more vac leak, also check your map sensor in the rear off the intake I recommend putting some rtv on the ozing to get positive seal, you could try if you can reach it to put your hand on it and start the car if you are pushing on it your car should idle fine if it is leaking, also stupid question but you replaced the coolant lines right? and got the rear block offs and the new front head lines? no more line under the intake? if not the line is hitting the intake and leaking vaccum under the ports you would never get it to do anything with the spray.

funny that I did not touch the intake but am having the exact same problem. Could still be a vacuum leak but I would look towards the front of the intake (by the throttle body). I have not had time to look yet but I will after work.

It's a leak. The IAC (idle air control) motor is usually right in the sweet spot (if everything is stock wtih no leaks) as you're stopping. Now, it's got all this extra air, and it revs up as you come to a stop. The IAC has to then close off to bring the idle down and compensate for the leak. The IAC motor takes time to open/close, and takes time to sample what the hell is going on, that's why there's a delay.
Will the A/C change from vent to floor to defrost? There's a tiny vacuum line that provides a vacuum for this mechanism that people forget to put back on all the time. It's on the back, passenger side of the intake. 1/8" hose or so.
