Default Best Clearance Y pipe...PaceSetter?

I dont think I found a clear answer on this when I did my searching:
What Y pipe offers the best ground clearance? Bumping probably wont be an issue because I already have poly mounts and a bumpstop (thanks to the TSP catted Y).

The Pacesetter Y is one piece right? Does it have good clearance? Any coke can pics (I know there has to be one somewhere)?

I am on a budget and clearance is my main concern. One day I will get custom 2.5" true duals. But for now I need to fix this worthless LM and keep it from falling off again due to a terrible fit with the TSP Catted Y. Any help would be awesome!

i think most y pipes are very similar, alot has to do with where your headers are. slp headers will keep the pipe lower, pacesetters, jet hots give a little better clearance. but id say you cant go wrong with the pacsetter.

The best fitting that i have seen is the kooks catted y. I had a custom modified one to contour to the bottom of my car and the kooks still had better clearance.

All i can say is wow. How did you get that kind of clearance out of your TSP catted y? Mine is also stock height and i have maybe 3/4 of an inch more than a coke can ON ITS SIDE on my drivers side. I have maybe 1/2 an inch to go before i hit the cross member.

Are there any pics of the PaceSetter Y installed?

That is really good clearance. You got a 4x4 or something? But my Kooks has nearly that kind of clearance. I can get the whole pop can under the Y, and it misses going under the cat just barely.

all of them suck, I have pacesetters and they scraped, now that I lowered y car they scrape everywhere. Get a Torque arm and true duals so you can tuck them up.

The new pacesetter y pipe is two piece, right? Are there any pics of either of them installed?

Mine hit the floor board. I went to the tsp true duals because of the clearance issue, it was hitting the floor board.

I dont have any side shots with the suspension loaded but I never scraped the Y pipe on anything. As you can see the droped down crossmember from the Spohn TA was not needed, even with the strait crossmember I would have had approx. 1" clearance for the I pipe.

I dont think its possible to have more clearance than with the Jet hot Y.

The one I had was two pieces. It tucked up too much it was like a 1/4 inch from the floor board and when I accelerated the pipe beat the crap out of the floor board.

I cant stand those conventional exhaust clamps anymore. Why do you bother with those pinching pieces of garbage? Why not just get a SS band clamp and wrap foil around the seam, creating a leak-less system.

Is that crossmember really even necessary? My mechanic took out the stock piece for more clearance on the I-pipe. Do I need to buy one?

Well I ordered a Hooker CB (to replace the LM) and a Pacesetter Y. I will be sure to post up some pics when I get them both on. Is there much rasp associated with the pacesetter Y?

I hope this was a good decision, lol. I guess if I dont have to worry about my LM and all 19 joints and clamps coming loose any more then I will be okay.

Poly mounts and a bumpstop... I guaruntee it will still bang... just because its on MY car
