Time for a new exhaust. What to buy?
i have a crappy setup right now. Have pacesetter Lt's, which i like and keeping, Pacesetter ory with a flange welded to bolt up to a chokemaster cat-back. Well after a 150mph speed run i blew out the gasket that goes between the ory and cat-back.
Im done with this ghetto-rigged exhaust set-up. What should i get?
I was thinking tsp td's w/ sweet thunders, but concerned about clearance.
Who has a well performing cat-back and y-pipe?

I always liked the sound, and price of the Hooker catback, if you're on somewhat of a budget. If you have the cash to splurge on a stainless catback, then I'd probably go with a GMMG, they sound awesome.

I'm sure that you have your pick of great exhaust shops being in Southern California. If you want a true dual system that's not too loud and doesn't hang too low I'd suggest having one built specifically for your car that has cats coming off of the collectors, an H-Pipe, mufflers of your choice, flowmaster single chamber mufflers flow really well, unlike the 80 series that you have now, or bullets if you want a more race car sound, under the axle and out the back using your flowmaster tips, this is the exact system I am having built next week, so I can try and get a sound clip for you if you'd like

yeah. im kinda on a budget. I would like to stay under 500-600. Thats why i like the tsp td's. The price is cool and all the sound clips sound good, as long as it doesnt hang lower than my headers then i can get away with it.

I have maganflow and it sounds great but is raspy without cats. I will be getting my new headers and kooks catted y pipe for it next week so hopefully that will kill the rasp. Other than that it has nice bass and is bad *** at wot. I have had the hooker and either one is a good muffler. Good luck

I love my 3 inch duals. The amount of bass in the exhaust note is just nuts. But like others have said...ground clearance may be an issue for you. My truck however has no problem since the exhaust is tucked up above the frame rails. I have seen people with F-bodies run duals that tuck up pretty well though.
For a cat back, I'd probably go with Corsa or Borla. I like the sound of both. But exhaust really is all opinion..
