What is need to either by pass the egr plug or to get the ses light to go away. I have heard that you can get it removed, HOW.

if you remove the egr you will need a block off plate for the open tube on the header. To get the code turned off a shop can tune out the code. Usually about $50 - i just leave the light on.

You need someone with LS1edit/HPTuners to turn the code off. Where do you live?

Check out Speed Engineering, or search for sponsors by area code. You can find someone who can tune it.

You can also post up in the regional section, maybe someone will help you out.

I removed the tubes, made a blockoff plate for the header, and just left the EGR thing plugged in and on the bracket until I got the car tuned and the EGR removed.

Just find a member locally to tune that crap out for you. I met a guy locally back before I bought HPTuners to tune out the EGR, skip shift (even though I did the cheap resistor mod), and raise my fuel cutoff for like $20.
