well the 85mph is wierd so i would try and keep it full throttled past the finish line but some drag radials or better should work. if you went 1.991 at your sixty foot and could drop it to a 1.89 then your 1/4 mile time should be 12.967. for the fun of it go with a 50 dry shot. bet your in the twelves then.

Thats a great time for your mods... Get a CAI, K&N filter, PTB from Tim, LS6 intake... about $500 and you'll be high 12's.
But headers, gears and stall are a must for the future.

It sais you have a 02 longblock, might already have the ls6 intake.
P&P TB from new era is only $75, that might push you into 12s, with a slightly better launch.
Then there's the obvious: headers and a tune, or converter. I would do headers, custom catted Y, tb, ls6 intake, Magnaflow catback, then tune. You should be mid 12s then. Get drag radials on separate rims if you are into 1/4 mile alot, could get you low 12s with good launch.
Get a converter if you are serious about 1/4 mile. Need drag radials with a converter. Should knock a good half second off. IMO crappy for the street. Some will argue this but I like the stock powerband for street only driving.
Then there's cam, heads, yadda yadda

i typed the mph wrong it was 85xx mph in the 1/8 and 105 in the quarter.
well i have the ls1 intake because the guy who did the engine swap kept the smog **** on there to pass smog in tn. i got the car right after the swap was done on the engine and he sold the ls6 intake.
maybe colder weather might help also.
will a set of nitto dr's be ok because its a dd

My 00 T/A ran almost exactly the same times last weekend. Same 60's and everything and I have basically the same mods.
My car was dead hooking flooring from the line with 3.73's and 275/40/18 sumitomo's. In this case DR's will probably slow you down more than it will help. If your spinning than it's a different story.
Weight reduction is free. There are some good posts about weight reduction on this site. If you could drop 100-150 lbs you would be in the 12's easy.
I just added pacesetter race longtubes and O/R y-pipe. Also got rid of all the emmissions crap.......probably dropped 50lbs right there.
I bet I get some 12's this weekend!

well i was foot brakeing it a little but i could have gone a little more rpm.
on another run i gave it more rpm but i floored it to fast and left side ways lol.
so i think i could leave a little better with more rpm.
might go with the nitto's and a p&p tb
