Default What ypipe will fit QTP lt's other than theirs?

I'm really interested in the Edelbrock Y pipe and was hoping it would fit up to the QTP's. Anyone tried another Y on them? I believe Edelbrock says theirs fits Hookers and I thought I saw somewhere that QTP's Y fits Hooker, Pacesetter, etc.

There's a recent thead where a guy used a Kooks y-pipe with QTP's. Had to modify it a bit, but it's sittin' purty now.

I guess I'm looking to see if the Edelbrock will fit.

yeah the qtp y pipe is a piece of ****, i got it with thier headers and after i put the headers on it was tim for the y-pipe and it was a complete mess, the front of the y-pipe was the exact same size as the collector and wouldnt slip over it like it was suppose to, and the big huge y section thats made by flowmaster or whatever, was to small to fit into the section where the two pipes merge and had about 1/4 inch gap all the way around it. the drivers side pipe hangs way to low also. if it hadn't been for a free welding job by my friend at a muffler shop qtp woulda been gettin a phone call. imo get one made, cheaper and i seriously doubt it will be any different flow wise from the edelbrock

I have Hooker headers on my car with the Hooker ORY. I bought a QTP catted Y for inspection (Hooker does not make one) and it fit perfectly. So I would say that the opposite is true, that the Hooker ORY would fit the QTPs.

Edelbrock's has a 3.5" collector, which is larger than the standard 3" collectors used by most companies.

Seems like no matter what headers you get, the ypipe just sucks. I bought the QTP LT's thinking they'd be great. Now it looks like just another PITA.

Edelbrocks ad is kind of misleading. Says the Ypipe is a direct replacement for stock Y and cats and designed to work with their race headers. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...ers_race.shtml

I guess you could request the y pipe not be flared and let the exhaust shop flare just enough for it to fit?

Do you think a pacesetter y-pipe would work with QTP's as well?
