Default Thermostat Question

I was just wondering what the benefits are of going to a lower temp thermostat (driveability, power, etc) and what my options are (temp, brand, etc). Any recommendations would be appreciated!

You won't really notice any power gains or anything of that nature. Having a 160º Stat would help in having a cooler running motor which is healthier for it in my opinion. A 160ª will probably drop your temp to about 185-190º at idle compared to the stock stat which has the engine temp at 205-210º. Don't quote me on the temps but thats roughly what its around. I have a Hypertech 160º Stat on my car. I have an extra one brand new (polished), if your interested PM me.
