Default Sparks plug boots and heat wrap?

If im gonna upgrade my spark plug wires to a taylor 8mm thats gonna bring the wires and boots closer to heat. So going with better safe than sorry what do you think about wraping the boots and maybe even wire with heat wrap? Just a thought as im putting together a header install very soon.(header parts list in the newbie tech section) Think its worth it or just a waste of time. The only obvious thing I see off hand is the wires are gonna look retarded but id trade that for assurance that the wires would be protected.
