Default Check out my score for $500

A friend of mine was selling some LS1 parts and just happened to have a set of LT's and brand new true duals laying around, so I picked them up, along with a BMR driveshaft loop. These should make quite a bit of difference in sound over my loudmouth. Unfortunately the headers have emissions fittings so I'm debating having them cut off and rewelded, then recoated as well. I know it's just a cosmetic thing, but I'd like the engine compartment to look as nice as it can be. What do you think?

Those look like SLP headers?

I would not try to remove & weld those fittings, the headers are thin metal and you can burn a hole in them easy when trying to weld them.

They're Jet Hot headers, which are hooker super comps. I'd have the headers professionally welded, so I don't think the thickness of the material would be much of an issue.

not bad... got to be careful w/ DS loops b/c some header/exhaust combos hang too low ect. to fit. i had to sell mine after trying to fit it with washers and longer bolts.. no luck so i need to save and get the tq. arm with the loop. also w/ the LTs, it only sounds louder and meaner at WOT with the loud mouth. i have the original LM bout in 2003. in 6th gear at 60mph rmp is at what 1200?? the tone is smooth and sounds like a stock SS or WS6.

I have heard from a few people that LT's and no cats with a LM just sounds shitty, so I didn't want to go that route. I have a Chris Alston tunnel mount torque arm so hopefully the DS loop fits. If not, I'll fab one up.
