Default True Dual Fabrication

I want to go with TDs on my car... Especially since I'm installing a nice big cam and want to hear it better. I was looking at buying this kit to fab up my system. Any thoughts?

U-Fit Exhaust Kit

I've got the means to get my car plenty high enough, and I've got a nice MIG welder I'm dying to get some good use out of.

One last question... 2.5" or 3" tubing? They have 1 kit for each size.

2.5" is more than enough for even the biggest cams...

yeah 2.5" is just fine up until you get to around 500hp or so.

if you are going over the axle you may want to look into a full size dual in/dual out muffler if quality and tone is what your lookin for just my .02 cents

That kit will be an overkill for the pipes you need on our cars but it does seem complete. It's better to have more pipes than not enough. If you are like me, there will be plenty of mistakes made and will need all the pipes you can get. Just don't expect it to be a drop in and weld it up project. It takes a lot of cutting and welding to get it right. And I agree with the others, 2 1/2" is plenty for most street cars and is easier to make fit. And make it a challenge and go over the axle instead of under. Much cleaner install IMO.

Thnaks for all the input guys. If it makes any difference I'm planning on a dumped or side exit system. More to come on the side exit. I don't mean side pipes or any of the tacky looking pics that have been posted before. I think I may have figured out a way to do a side exit and make it look good. Also as far as pipe selection goes, I'll be running an MS4 cam and a 150 shot. I'm planning on adding a couple flanges in the system so I can drop it easily and run open headers at the track.

I'm open to any/all feedback. Thanks again!

Plus with the left over tubing I can fab up a nice 3" catback for my Silverado.
