Default Loudmouth and headers questions

I used to have a loudmouth on my car which has MAC Mids and a MAC ORY but i didn;t like the sound. I was wondering if anyone has just put a borla XR1 or Dynomax Bullet and then a turndown before the axle with a custom hander or something to keep it tight. Has anyone tried this? and does anyone have any sound clips? I would love to hear this before investing

thanks
Dustin

Heh. I had MAC mids with factory LS1 cats in the Y and really liked them with the LoudMouth. Once I went to Hooker LTs and a ORY, it sucked... Don't waste your time with the DynoMax bullet. It didn't reduce drone OR rasp and really didn't change the volume much either... I currently have the Borla XR-1 in place of the resonator and am very happy with it. Drone and rasp are significantly reduced and it sounds mean. I will warn you now...it is still LOUD.
