I Just Got A Modified Exhaust Ticket Today "27151a"
Its A Correctable Violation...the Only Thing Is I Am Running With No Cats/true Duals/bullet Mufflers Dumped Before The Axle...now My Question Is When I Take It To The Chp What Are They Going To Be Looking For?
Exhaust Exiting The Rear?
Catalytic Converters?
Decible Level?
Pretty Much I Dont Wanna Go There And Have It Pass The Decible Test Then The Chp Sends Me To The Ref Cuz I Got No Cats Or Rear Exiting Tips...
I Was Thinking About Building A Silencer For The Duals And Then Temporarily Hanging The Stock Muffler/and Tips In The Stock Place To Give The Effect That Its Stock...the Only Thing Is, If They Look Under The Car Im Kinda Boned...anybody Got Any Insight? Thanks

lol i wish it was so simple...what i was thinking of doing was fabbing a y pipe that connects to the duals and then to the stock muffler but keep all the dual piping since its welded to my headers...that way ill be running through the magna bullets and the stock muffler...the only thing i can think of then is my deleted cats, ill just mock up a fake cover for them...they dont do emissions testing for decible exam i dont think

they will be looking for relocated cats! in cali its illegal to relocate the cats from the stock positions which you have obviously done and that is why longtubes are illegal in cali! you got pulled over because you were too loud but the chp will get you for the longtubes and relocated cats when you go! put the stock back on and get it over with!

dude you got lucky as **** depending on where you live around her that would be a couple thousand $ ticket but racing is very popular in the bay area. like most said i would go back to stock if you don't meet the requirements it will just show them that your trying to sneak past iv seen it happen and guys get screwed even more not a thing you wana do! or get a a good cop to sign it off which could be hard to find. where in Ca are you?

I live in San Diego and back when I had a Cobra I got a noise polution ticket. They didnt send me to a ref. All I had to do was go down to the Poway Sherriff's station and they checked the decible level (after I put my stock H-pipe) back in.
They didnt look under my car (they wouldnt have found anything anyways) but yeah. Just my experience.
I say revert back to stock just to be safe.

i say put ur stock system back. after u get everything checked off put ur longtubes back on and get a custom y-pipe and leave ur stock catback and get a e-cutout. That way u could be as quiet as stock, but when racing time just open them up. Save my butt from getting few tickets.

LT's are ILLEGAL, so they will nail your ***** to the wall if they see them, and at $2500 dollars PER CAT, it is not worth the fine.
They know what they are looking for.
