the moroso is a quieter, and much more refined sound. IMO it is much better for comfort but it still SCREAMS in the upper RPMs... plus it just sounds plain awesome not just plain loud.

I had the dynomax bullets and loved them but at time they were too much. The moroso spiral flow actually has some baffles in it.

would the moroso bullet muffler be a good replacement for a loudmouth bullet to get rid of some of the rasp?

What is your total exhaust setup?

IMO with a Y-pipe setup in order to kill the rasp and sound good you need high flow cats or a real (not bullet style) muffler.

i just installed QTP headers yesterday along with a qtp y-pipe ( big mistake) and my original loudmouth setup ( bullet muffler) from when i got the car. car has no low end and is raspy way to loud to drive around town around 1800 and 2300 it gets so annoying. BTW i took the cats off the car

Looks like you didn't research your choice on here enough.

Loudmouth with no cats is something you must hear for yourself before deciding whether you like it simply because it is LOUD or realize it sounds like :****:

Perhaps you could sell the Loudmouth and buy something like a Hooker catback...or get some high flow cats welded in...

the problem with getting high flow cats is that i just bought QTP's y pipe and it already hangs low and hits the ground i really want to get rid of it... as far as cat backs are concerned does hooker get rid of the rasp? i really dont want to put cats back on the car.

Hookers catback with longtubes and no cats is 'relatively' quiet and rasp free. Same with SLP's dual/dual and Magnaflow.

There are other good cat-back choices, but those three are the most quiet (and cut the rasp well) yet still flow very well.

I am not sure how quiet/loud you want it to be.

dont get me wrong i want it to be loud when i step on it i just can't stand that damn loud tin/raspy noise when i floor it, do u think getting a different y pipe will help also or no?
i dont have the money right now for a full cat back will a baffled bullet do the job or no?

The only Y-pipe change that will help is high flow cats.

A baffled bullet will do a better job than the Loudmouth muffler and you will notice a difference.

I think that the spirals are a lot more tame than the dynomax ones.
