Default [rant] Fkn Junk Taylor Wires!!!

THese POS wires!

I've heard and read about these wires pulling and seperating when trying to do wires and or plugs... and NOW It happened to me. I was going to swap out my old NGK plugs w/ new NGK plugs, and went to gently pull and twist on the wire to get it to come off... It came off, but the damn connector was still on the plug!

I can't exactly pull the boot off and reconnect it, so I just shoved the connector down in there and pushed it back on the plug... It runs fine. Hopefully it will last till I can coordinate my finances to get a new set of MSD 8.5's... I know, but $50 can be a problem if not taken into account w/ the three bills that are due this time of month.

FKN POS TAYLOR WIRES!!

I had the same issue, and it damn near left me stranded as well...if I hadn't kept my stock wires, I would have been pissed. I most likely won't buy a set of those ever again.

I worked at a speed shop for 4 years that sold tons of Taylor wires, very rare to have a problem with em. Main thing is to run what works best for ya what ever the brand.

I have a set that is still together. They seem alright to me. I am an MSD person myself though.

^ MSD Set or Taylor? How many people have taken the Taylor wires off more than once, tho? I used the dielectric grease and they still pulled off. The plug boot spun fine, it's just the darn connector that was wicked tight on the plug.

I've had ONE come apart and I have changed my plugs three times since installing them. Just put it back together, you can move the boot up and crimp it back down.

^ I'll try that. I really wanted to do my plugs.

Some one told me that the NGK 'performance' plugs only last about 10k miles.. Is there any truth to that??

Im not sure on the duration on those plugs but I did get 108k miles on my stockers, swapped em out with new ones and redynoed...no gain....at all lol. It did run slightly smoother though.
