Compression ratio for camaro

Compression ratio for camaro What is the highest compression ratio i can go with out blowing my car up? I was told 11.5 to 1. would be ok to do. I have an LS6.

You may want to give more info, like what application, FI, nitrous, or NA, what your goals are, etc. Also may have better luck in the Internal Engine section.
