Default Mass Air Flow Sensor

hey guys, i just lost a lot of air flow and power. i plugged a superchip for the diagnostics and it read that my MAF was faulty or something. how would u go about cleaning it? caurborator cleaner? thanks

Q-tips and rubbing alcohol work good if you're careful with the tiny wires. I'd remove it from the intake bellow/lid, remove the ends from the MAF, and CAREFULLY clean the wires. They bend/break super easy, I must warn.

If you can find electrical parts cleaner, it should work well too.

What was the code? Check to make sure the ENG SEN fuse isn't blown too.

They sell MAF cleaner at NAPA. Works very well.

does it throw a code or is it just something you experienced recently?

my power feels down as well so I'm probably going to give mine a good cleaning when I do the new TB ...

yea i cant remember the code it was like a po120 or something, it wasnt my chip so i am not sure but it was the mass air flow... i am going to try the cleaner out first. i was sitting at a red light today and got rearended by a 88 blazer so i got to get that taken care of as well... new bumper and back fender kinda sucks
