HP gains without cats on FLP headers
I currently have the cats installed on my car, but I'm thinking about putting the test pipes in. How much HP will I gain?

Maybe 6 or so? You will gain some nice torque - that will be the big difference. If you have a loud catback, it will greatly increase exhaust volume and rasp in many cases. It's worth it if you have a quiet but good flowing catback or if you don't care about noise.

quite a few have mentioned that removing the cats will give you a loss in low-end torque (but a bit of a gain in top end). Not too noticeable though, these cats already flow very well.

I spoke with the guys from FLP directly at a local car show a few months back and they said that the car actually lost 2lbs. of torque when they removed the cats and gained only 1 hp.

I track tested the FLP cats vs. the offroad pipes and didn't really notice any change in my ET's or trap speeds. The tests were on different days, but the weather was similar.

Same day.. I gained 2 MPH by putting the cats on. Went to the track with them off Ran 111MPH put on cats and the car ran 113MPH. Basically same ET.
