Default questions about headers slp, pacesetter, or jet hot

i have a 2000 TA m6 ive got a bad passanger side cat, ive called the dealer and they are prolly gonna replace it. but im just not satisfied with that so im thinking about doing some longtubes and then an custom catted Y but thats not my question i have found a really good deal on a set of slp headers the guy wants 150 bucks for headers and offroad Y and i was curious if it was worth it or am i money ahead to put it towards a set of pacesetter or jet hots. i dont plan on lowering the car so the ground clearance isnt a big thing to worry about. im just looking at the performance and quality. any help would be great

since you said you will be stock height and don't mind the low hanging SLP's i would definately get them. $150 for stainless LT's and Y is a killer price!!! Besides the clearance they perform and fit good so again i would go for it. I wish i could find a set that cheap.

Fitment is absolutly horriable with SLP, i heard alot of horror stories. As for the price its great but its a hassel to get them on. Jet hot (currently putting on my car) has great fitment and slip right in and go but then again, they are 350 dollers more.

Or you could spend 150 hate them and then pay 350 or higher to replace those! Read the reviews on headers an form your own opinion. Id never tell anyone what to do with their car but il tell ya most SLP header owners hate them. But then again some say Pacesetter's suck but thats what I have an I love them. IMO do what you can afford. Good luck
