Default 85mm Summitt Throttle body

Summit now has an 85mm throttle body for the ls1. Does anyone know anything about them? They have them for pretty cheap.

Holy crap that is cheap. Yeah we need some comparison numbers here to see some HP differences.

I wish there was a photo. I assume it would bolt up to an LS1/LS6 intake?

85mm... I dunno. The 80mm version probably would. I am getting pretty interested in this thing. Its dirt cheap! How long has it been out? Anyone have one?

I saw another one in a VSI catalog for a few bucks less than that! I can't remember the brand, but I'll look into it.

Yep, I hogged out my Fast 78 and used the PP 85mm TB on it. Pulls like there is no tomorrow...

I bought one, but I'm still trying to figure out how to get more slack in the throttle cable in order to hook it up. The spacer that allows the 85mm to work pushes the TB out so the throttle cable won't work as it is.

If you have to use a spacer to run it, it's worthless. What's the point of a 85mm tb in front of a intake with a smaller hole???

so are you saying that spacer is smaller than 85mm? That would not make sence. Looking at t he picture it does look smaller than the tb. Wonder if this would bolt up with the Typhoon intake??? May have to get one.

the 85mm pp throttlebody bolts to the 85 mm typhoon intake, the 80mm version is for oem style manifolds and includes the spacer which is supposedly shaped like a funnel to meet up with both the 80mm tb and the smaller intake opening
