Default pacesetters w/no cats?

I'm fixing to install some pacesetter longtubes on my 99 SS and I was wondering if I can just install the y pipe onto the headers or if i need to get a cat bypass system?

Cat bypass system? You mean for the rear o2s?... nah, just bolt that Y pipe up and get either some 02 simulators or a tune. My Vinci handheld tuner helped me out with that, along with the !EGR and !AIR.

pacesetter's Off Road Ypipes go right from there headers to the stock/aftermarket cat back. you dont need to buy an extra piping or anything.

edit: not sure if you meant the piping itself or the 02's as kurt said. if you mean the 02 sensors you can either buy 02 sims, or have the codes tuned out of the pcm (better)

I'm going to get a tune right after I install the lt's. I'm not wanting to run cats and I saw a couple systems needed a cat bypass. Thanks for the info.

Buy the Corvette O2 sensors. They are long enough straight out of the box.

My Pacesetters and Y pipe were all I needed, everything bolted up very easy and fit perfect on my 02 Z28
