shoulda done it when you had your exhaust manifolds off doing your headers. i pulled all 8 plugs, put anti seiz on the new ones, gapped them and got them in, in 10 minutes. all from underneath.

Headers should make it easier vs. manifolds.

after I had done my header install... I realized that maybe I should have, after getting the headers at least up into the engine bay, installed the spark plugs and secured the boots on the plugs... reason being, it would have made my life much easier...

I dont see what the big deal is about the back bolt. It's not that hard to get in there. Maybe my car is different or something, and I have pretty big hands.

it's alot easier with the emmissiosn crap gone too... once you rip all that off there's more room. drivers side gets real easy with the air gone, it helps on the passenger's side soem. taking the a/c off makes it alot easier on the passengers side... ripping the heat out completely.. makes it a walk in the park. (I have yet to take the heat out, but after seeing the room a car without heat has, mine's coming out without a doubt)

On the pass side i find it easier to unbolt the starter and let it sit on your chest then you have access to the last three from the back. then you can get the front one from the top.

mine has no emissions but still took me and a friend 2.5 hours to change them out! The driver side was done in 20 minutes but the passenger side.... couldn't get the damn rachet off the plug on last one, it kept hitting the firewall. Had to take 2 coil packs off too haha. I'm not changing spark plugs for 40000 miles lol.

I take the whole coil pack tray off, 3 bolts and one big connector, and whamo lots more room.

removing heat makes twice as much room as removing the starter

Man I'm glad I don't have these problems. I got rid of emissions and have headers and I only have to change the very back one on the passenger side from the bottom and all I use is a sparkplug socket and a ratchet nothing else I can change plugs in 35 to 40 minutes tops.

Good luck with the plug change

Thats the same with me, but I get them all from the top with just a ratchet and spark plug socket. It's not as hard as everyone makes it out to be.
