Default Removing LS1 intake question

I am trying to get the intake off of my car and I have just about everything off except the vaccum line that runs to the back of the intake. I am not talking about the brake booster line I got that, but the little plastic line that runs to somewhere on the passanger side of the car?? How do you get that thing off without breaking it?? It looks as if it is 1 mold with that sensor and big rubber piece on the back of the intake??? any help would be great!

The real tiny one? I just pulled mine, there was no clamp on it, it's a real thin plastic line with a vacuum hose type connector on it that seats it to the bulbous unit on the back of the intake. Don't go hulk on it, just a slight tug, that's what worked for me. Don't hold me accountable if you break it, I'm just saying what I did

Oh and don't forget to hook it back up, I believe it's for the vents on the air conditioning, if you forget, it'll just come out on the floor I think. Lots of people forget and that's what happens.

Be careful with the oil sending unit, those things break easily.

try twisting the rubber hose on the plastic tube then pull it off, should work. plastic tube can be brittle though so be carefull.

I smell a broken oil pressure sending unit about to happen. Good thing you're not a 98. We have to special order all our freakin sending units. Every time I need something like an oil pressure unit or a temp sending unit I have to go to the dealer...but my discount from Advance Auto works very nice at the dealer

As I recall that little hose should just pop right off. Heres the LS1Howto.com page:

Good luck!

yeah pull from the passenger side towards the passenger side and the OPSU should be fine, that's the piece that stands upright and has a clip from the drivers side going to it

I broke mine because I had never done it before. And I hadnt read anything about people breaking theres so I didnt know to look out for it. Once the dang thing was off and the LS6 was on I still didnt realize that I had broken anything until my OPG wasnt working, lol. So, it came back off and I had to special order one.

Well, smartass, when you can't see back there and GM wraps the hose behind the OPSU, bad things can happen. But, this is why there is a forum in the first place.
