It iwill allow your car to breath easier, and should pick up a few HP. I dont think it will affect your tune at all. But it wouldnt hurt to get retuned after your done with the install.

no, when you get a bunch of bolt ons under your belt a good tune would benefit you then, but not just yet

MOST mods when added will make your car run slightly rich....but a simple manifold install wont be rough on it

If you have a 99-00 with 26lb. injectors, your long term fuel trims will go way up and your injector duty duty cycles will get pretty strained at WOT. I just swapped to 28lb. injectors and flow rate, and it brought the LTFT's and INJDC's back into line. I'd recommend going to bigger injectors and changing the IFR table when you swap the manifold.

Exactly. Unless you've got a hookup or can spend the money on the tune than I wouldn't mess with it. Do the intake, throttle body, and headers than start thinking of a tune

agree, increase in air will cause a strain on injectors from those model years

also, if you have egr and are going with an LS6 int mani w/o then you will definitely need a tune cause it will throw a code, on a 98 with a LS6 int that has egr provisions, should be an in & out swap with no probs on the tune
