Switched to longtubes...power loss???
I recently pulled out my mac mids and catted y pipe and installed pacesetter longtubes with offroad y, but now it feels like my car isnt as quick. The midrange power especially is noticeably less. The car feels sluggish pulling from about 3-5k rpm. I figure i need a tune now. Hopefully a tune will unlock the gains of the LT's...any comments????

I cracked four spark plugs doing my LT's and thought the same thing that I had lost power. Check those out, did you use the gaskets that came with the LT's.. thats usually a no-no just reuse the old stock ones.

Law of Lontubes:
If you feel like you didn't gain anything or lost power doing LT's, replace your spark plugs, make sure you used good old OEM gaskets, make sure your 02's are healthy. Beyond that problems would have to lie somewhere else.

AIR does not affect performance at all. EGR only
applies at mid-high vacuum and will be off at high
throttle; its only drawback is the pecker in the
inlet. That can just be cut back flush.
Of course both add some ugly plumbing and header
fittings to break off at the weld.
