Default SLP Loudmouth Catback

Im looking to have an SLP Loudmouth Catback Exhaust installed on my car. I go the slp website and I see a Loudmouth Resonator and a Loudmouth II Muffler. Whats the difference? I want the one that is louder. Anyways, would I just need to get one or two of these mufflers installed? What else would I need? Im going to take it to a muffler shop to get it done. I have stock manifolds and y pipe with cats. . . so I was wondering how this would be setup on my 02 WS6. Thanks

LM Resonator is much louder than the LM2, which is a glass pack muffler.

So all I would need to purchase is 1 Loudmouth Resonator and thats it? I already have my own tips. So all I would need to bring with me to the muffler shop is the Loudmouth resonator and my tips and they could do the rest? How is the shop gonna run dual pipes out the back when this resonator only has 1 inlet and 1 out let?

Is this the setup you're getting? If so, check it out, theres no big muffler. Its the "resonator" and then piped the rest of the way back

Alright, thank you very much. I understand now. But I dont want to buy that whole kit. I just want to get the resonator. So do you think the shop would be able to bend there own piping like that instead of me having to buy that whole setup with tips that I dont even need?

Buy the kit. It is 3" mandrel bent stainless steel piping. For under $400 it is a great price. An exhaust shop is going to crush bend aluminized steel, likely in 2.5" and probably will save you less than $100 total over the catback, maybe not even after the install. The LM is a well made kit and can easily be installed yourself.

I agree... it's a bitchen kit, I have it on my car... but the tips it comes with are crap... install the kit, then take your car to a muffler shop and have your current tips welded on!

Just to get this out there. LoudMouth 1 is nothing more than a expanded section of pipe. There is nothing inside of it. LoudMouth 2 is a an actual bullet muffler. So If you want a deeper and more defined tone get the LMII. If you want a slightly louder but more raspy sound get the loudmouth1. I doubt there is any performance difference between the two.

I hate my lm2. Desperately trying to kill the drone. Dumping the pos resonator tomorrow for a spiral flow....hopefully it fixes the problem.

LM2= Great at idle, great at WOT......sucks *** in between.

I hope Im gonna like the Loudmouth I. I got stock headers and y pipe, so it shouldnt be to bad, right? I hope not. I went to LS1sounds.com and it didnt sound horrible I think. I just hope I like it. If I dont like it, I will probably just get either a hooker or magnaflow catback exhaust. The only other two I like.

I would advise you to not go with the LM exhaust. It is way too raspy and the drone is horrible. I would suggest you go with a custom fabricated exhaust. Spiral flow mufflers would be good. I have a true dual system with spiral flows with not cats. It sounds a million times better that the LM.

I drive 90 miles on the highway 6 days a week. The LM2 isn't bad at all. The 3.5" single tips on the LM's are nice. The dual/dual tips are horrible.
