Default EXHAUST DESCRIPTIONS/INPUT/OPINIONS WANTED

i have heard many different setups of exhaust on various cars and i'm curious of which sounds the best.....if you would please leave your opinion of the best sounding exhaust (cat-back) w/ or w/ out y-pipe with a description of the sound, your advice would be much appreciated, whatever sounds most appealing i'll look into buying for my car....i have catback flowmasters now but its not loud enough for me
THANKS

If you are after louder you need a Loudmouth, cut-out, or true duals.

i have heard loudmouth, a buddy of mine has it and i love it but i dont wanna copy the sound, but if i cant find one that compares then i'll have to go that direction......tell me what the true duals sounds like, i'm lookin for somethin a little more defined than the loudmouth but w/ the same loudness

I've heard just about every exhaust out there. The baddest sounding by far have been longtubes with 3" bullets attached. There's nothing like listening to a car a mile and half away.

Much more refined than the LM, especially with headers. I have a X-pipe and duals, the sound is deep at idle and cruise; and it screams when you get on it. I am running Dynomax bullets. this is definately the best sounding exhaust. People will complain of resonance, but mine is no worse than my Loudmouth. I loved my LM, but this is a whole new world.

If you want louder, you need headers and LM, or headers and GMMG.

I have LT's into a 3" tubes to a Flowmaster dual 3"inlet, single 3.5" outlet merge collector, to a Dynomax 6" (3.5" inlet/outlet) race muffler with a dump. Nice and throaty idle, not annoying around town with no rasp, no resonating inside the cabin, but SCREAMS at WOT. The nicest part is under normal driving- people can hear you, but not in another state. Our cars are cop bait as it is and I hate to tempt the fuzz just driving around. I'm guessing a muffler shop could duplicate the setup for around $400-500 including labor (I made it myself and had less than $200 in parts including mandrel bends, muffler, hangers). For added ground clearance with the 6" muff, the driveshaft tunnel will have to be "adjusted" with a good size tool (hammer).
