My new whupass true dual X pipe setup(pics)
These guys have mad skillz yo.
I am impressed to say the least. I will have to make before and after pics at a later date. All mandrel bends fitted together and TIG welded by a pro. Maximum concern with clearance and HP production. Cant really get much better than this. Sounds awesome...still a low rumble due to retaining the dual 3" flowmasters...but at about 3000 rpm it starts to "sing" like a big fat formula 1 car.
Anyways...heres the pics.
yes...it may look simple...but far from it. The clean look is a testament to their skill.
Here are the headers they made for Kirby's car.

Re: My new whupass true dual X pipe setup
A guy by the name of Brandon who used to work at TEA (still does on occaision) did these with the help of his buddy Kirby. It gets pricey due to the labor involved but its around the cost of a good catback system $400-600 depending. He will go over the axles as well but that would cost more. But to me its all worth it knowing this is my last exhaust system. Ive had 4 exhaust setups...all were lacking in some way. This one is just WHUPASS!!! as the legendary Bo Taylor and Babe Bearcamp would say

That is an amazing job. That system really tucks up nice. I to am having a dual system run tomorow with spintech mufflers though.

Nice exhaust! I wonder if the clearance could be maintained with FLowmaster's 10-Series mufflers? They are only 6.25" long . Whose headers are those? The reason I as is one of those primary tubes looks kinda hacked up on the passenger's side .

Two questions. First I was looking at the passenger header in the second pic from the top. What happend to the pip?
Also what do the headers in the bottom pic fit?
Later,
Bart

Re: My new whupass true dual X pipe setup(pics)
The headers on my car are Hooker Longtubes. Their are a few poorly aligned pipes...but it looks worse in the pic. They arent bad...but I would love to have Brandon and Kirby make me a set of longtubes with merge collectors.
The headers on the bottom two pics go to a BB Mopar that is making more HP than me with the juice...only hes all motor Brandon nd Kirbay fabbed those up. That was thier very first shot at exhaust. Came out better than my crappy Hookers Those are 2 1/4 promaries and 4" exhaust pipes. Practiaclly sewer pipes.

Re: My new whupass true dual X pipe setup(pics)
Can you take some pics that clearly shows your ground clearance? Right now I have a catback, but am considering switching to true duals. Hers my set-up:
Grott headers w/ Rapid Motorsports custom flanging. Mikey cutdown my collectors(were slip-fit into 3 inch random tech cats) and welded on 3 bolt flanges. Then made 3 inch straight pipe to fill the void where my random tech cats used to be. Those pipes are flanged too. Mikey also flanged my Grott 3 inch y-pipe.
To finish off the exhaust I have a SLP Loudmouth. YES it does have A LOT of RASP. Anything above 3500RPm my set-up is bad ***, but raspy. Its also REALLY LOUD. I was thinking about swapping the LM to a SLP Dual Dual, but thats like $600 just for the catback. I have a lot of ground clearance with the catback set-up and I am considering lowering the car 1 inch but true duals might be to low, especially with the car lowered.
True duals sound sweet. I am curious as to what mufflers you guys are using. Traditional mufflers will kill any ground clearance. I want a deep throaty exhaust but ground clearance is a big issue for me. Any thoughts?

Thoes look really nice. For the way that they look, and the fact that they are custom, I would of thought that you paid a lot more

Good job Brandini Those of you who don't know Brandon don't understand. He's got to be related to Houdini (the magician) because he can work magic with his hands. I'm mad because he has less time in this system then what I have in fitting my STAINLESS WORKS exhaust to my C5
