Default blackwing filter Install

I just received my blackwing filter. I having issue installing it beleive it or not. It came with a replacement tray. I replaced it and place the filter in. When I went to close the lid (SLP) very hard to close and not a tight seal. Does anyone else have this setup?

Thanks!

you need to push you filter way back so it seals on the lip of the filter. hope that helps

Default Blackwing filter

I'm not having much luck, Might resturn it and get a K&N filter instead. My stock tray and my paper filter fix right flush. But when I install the replacement tray with the blackwing filter it's very hard to close and there are gaps on the sides. The clamp just barely clip down. I wondering if this filter work with the SLP lid.

same thing here,,i just took the tray out,,,gave me about 9 HP,,,,,,,,that part was just me being funny, but i really did just take it out,,,i still dont think it fits perfectly,,but the 4 tabs on the rear of the lid actually go into the slots,,and my rubbing hood/lid stopped as well.

Default Blackwing

So you are not using a tray at all? Also or you using a SLP lid?
