Lid, filter and free ram air is much cheaper. You won't be able to tell the difference between it and the K&N FIPK because the difference is negligible.

I went with Lid, K&N filter (but it seems you can use a paper filter and be just fine), and a Fast Toys Ram Air, so it ended up being the same price as the K&N FIPK Im sure the FRA, key work being FREE, would shave about $150 off of that price if you didnt buy the FTRA. I would reccomend the FTRA though, good intake and you bolt the bottom behind the aid dam and nobody knows you have one.

On the aesthetical side, I think a lid looks better than the FIPK under the hood, too.

I say lid, although I hate the cheap look of most aftermarket lids. The new SLP seems to be better quality.

Yea most people say to go with the lid and filter set up. I have an FIPK system because i thought that a bigger filter meant more volume, meaning more power. But i learned that more hot air is not always better as lesser cold air.

I like my FIPK.

Just get whatever you think looks better because the differences are marginal.

I think you made the right choice with the FIPK. That big *** breather looks mean.
