Default What exhaust do I have

I just bought my 2001 Chevy Camaro SS a few weeks ago, I'm trying to find out want kind of Exhaust I have? Can someone help me out? I looked under and and I see no Catalytic converters. I have pipes on both sides that meet in the middle then pipe going over rear end to the muffler. The pipe on the driver side in almost flat I 'm guessing for clearance?? The pipe on the Pasenger side is normal. On the Dealer window sticker is states SS options one on them is low restriction dual outlet exhaust system.

You aren't seeing the cats because they are located directly after the exhaust manifolds, tucked up next to the engine.

From your pics, it just looks like a stock Camaro SS exhaust to me. The Camaro SS and T/A WS6 came with the "low restriction exhaust", which was basically just a less restrictive muffler I believe.

Looks like all Stock........I was hoping you had the SLP Powerflow, but it doesn't look like it.

Looks like you will need a new cat back to get the modding started.

I really like my new Magnaflow system......it is really quiet even with LT's and a ORY. The tips are a little big, but I am putting Corsa Clones on it(3.5'')

I don't know that I would replace the y if you have future plans of doing Long Tubes.

Depends on how much money you have to work with. Either way you go you will want to replace the catback. You will eventually want to look into getting some longtubes later on. Just make sure that you take into consideration the noise when you get a catback. When you put longtubes on your car will be a lot louder especially if you get a off road y-pipe. Corsa, Borla, Magnaflow, GMMG, B&B............all good cat backs.

Use the search and figure out which one you like the best.

I loved my hooker catback with mid's (3" collectors instead 2.5") and a custom y pipe w/ no cats. Good price, comes with nice tips!
