Default Can i run the engine alternator disconnect ?

Hello! I was instructed from autometer to disconnect alternator from battery lead and then drive the car to see if my speedometer problems continues.

Can i do this?

As stated above, you can and the battery will probably last about that long. My alternator crapped out on me and I ran it for about 1.5 hours before the optima didn't have any juice left. You'll know that it's about to die when all the dash lights start coming on and **** starts to dim.

Thanks ! I dont need to run without more than enough to test does it have any effect for speedo needle bouncing.

The reson i was asking was at i have heard it could burn my alternator.
