Default American Racing Headers / y-pipe installed today !!!

Just put on the american racing headers and catted y. I did it all by my lonesome in my garage and it took me half a day. Most of the damn time I was looking for tools.... as usual.

Fit was perfect. No alterations needed, I just had to jack the car up pretty high for the passenger side headers. But other than that.... there was not one major problem. These headers fit like a glove.

I have an LS6 intake and an underdrive pulley on their way and once I get everything on I am sending her to the tune/dyno. I was told that these headers are the new and soon to be headers too have for LSX cars. My tunner got 35rwhp from the exhaust alone on a C5. If you are thinking of getting stainless headers.... get these.

But we will really see once I get it dynoed.

Cool! I got mine yesterday and I was polishing them all day today . Glad to hear the install is easy. That's what I've been hearing. I'm going to attempt to put in my new prothane motor mounts first though.

I took the stock exhaust off today and fitted the new AR pipes together on the floor. The mating joints between the headers and the Y are pretty tight, so I ordered a 3" pipe expander off Ebay. I'd like to have a little more play to align everything, but it looks like it should fit well.

Here's mine. I polished up the primaries a little. I haven't done anything with the Y pipe yet.

i'll tell you what, that's a fine y-pipe. so much better than any of the others. this is the only stainless steel y-pipe on the market with a real merge. all the others just dump into the driver's side. what a joke.

LM performance sells them with free shipping. good deal IMO. stainless catted y-pipe and longtubes for under $1400 shipped isn't bad for that kind of quality. it's clearly the best prefab y-pipe made.
