I agree about needing 2 people. It took me and my brother a few hours to get my SLP's on. One up top wrasslin them up, and one underneath prying the trans over to one side, after disconnecting it from the crossmember, to get clearance. Not to difficult, just takes time and patience.

It's possible to do it alone, but will take much longer and be a huge PITA.

+1

When there is someone underneath the car and someone leaning over the motor it is much easier.

Order pizza and a couple helpers - hell it'll probably take two people just to get the oil dipstick tube reseated.

I didn't have any problems doing it myself, the headers kind of hang on the metal parts, frame and engine once you get them part way up there. Sure two people is ideal, but far from necessary. The hardest part was getting the right angle to slip the headers up because most angles won't work, you have to just play with the angles and they slide right up. The left side will require you to remove the steering wheel shaft, some headers may work without doing this, but I've never had a pair that did without removing it, and in all honesty its much faster because it opens up alot of room for the headers to slide right up. After I get the headers part way up I stick some jacks or bricks or wood right under the collector/mergers to hold the headers up farther then just get out from under the car and pull them up the rest of the way from the top and bolt them up.

1 person on the floor of your garage is definitely the slow way, but is how I prefer to do it. Just me, the radio, and some penetrating oil.

It's possible to do it alone but I would have someone there to help out.
