Question thinking about a hooker muffler???

I want to replace my stock muffler with a hooker muffler. Is that a good choice??? I want a deeper aggressive sound and also a better flowing muffler. what do you'll think?

Definately go for it. That was my second mod. And while I was expecting it to be a lot louder than it was, it really sounded nice. It was a deeper sound, and a little louder. Highly doubt the full catback is worth the extra 200 some dollars, or is any louder. The hooker is a little shorter than the stock muffler, so you will have to add a little to the left side tail pipe to make it come out the same place. I am still running it with some of the stock piping with my Y and LTs.

I really enjoy my hooker cat back. I've been told it sounds 'pretty pissed' with the LT and no cats

Thats exactly what I did. It was $80 for a muffler locally & $50 to get installed. I couldn't be happier. Even after adding LT's & ORY it still sounds great. And its very quiet inside the cabin also. I can't wait to get my H/C on at the end of the month & hear it.

man, I don't know, 189.99 for the cat back, or 130.00 to monkey the muffler into the stock system, I would spend the extra 60.00 bucks get the cat back, install it your self.

You'll love the hooker muffler. Intake and catback were my first couple of mods, and as I've added headers and now a cam I still love the way the hooker muffler sounds. It's nice and quite while going down the road, but if you stomp on it everyone will hear it!

$189 for a hooker catback? I dug forever and the cheapest I could find was $320!

then you do not dig hard enough, It is out there, 320, for a black muffler, I only paid 340 for my magnaflow and it is stainless. I will pm me friend on here, and he can post where I found it for him for 189.99, in OHIO I think their was 20.00 shipping. they are not a sponcer though so you will get no free advertizing from me. search and yeh shall find.

and if you think I am out of my mind, then search clear front markers, I found a ton of them for people when the were "extinct"

I have a hooker catback on my car. I love the sound thru the manifolds and cats. The sound is smooth and not raspy at all. I just ordered a set of American Racing Headers and catted Y. I will let you know how it sounds when thats installed.
With a Slp Lid. Hooker Catback. Self ported TB. Slp Cold air Kit. I made 340 rwhp. Cant wait to see what the headers will do.
