Default Need an exhaust mount

I'm looking for the one that comes off the of tranny and bolts up to the Y. When I was taking my exhaust off the bracket that bolts to the transmission was cracked and broke into two pieces. I talked to a couple of parts stores and no one carries it or can even provide a part number.

Are you talking about the part that bolts to the tranny with the rubber insulator #27 or the metal piece that slides in the rubber insulator and bolts to the pipe #30? Here are the part numbers and descriptions I found. The part number on #27 bracket has either been changed or no longer exist, at least on GMPartsDirect site.

27. BRACKET. CTLTCCONV HNGR. 99-02 F(LS1.MM6) p/n 10284835

I am missing that same piece. My question is, do we really need that piece? My X-pipe is intalled without it so why cant my y-pipe be installed without it? Does anyone use a ORY without using that bracket?
