Rasp gets worse with gutted cats. They resonate, but it's bearable.

it doesnet seem that you have any cat-back system, i heard the hooker cat-back has no rasp or you could weld in two dynomax bullet mufflers. they seem to take it away

Gutting the cats will make it 10 times worse, your getting rasp through the catback or through the cutout? If its the catback I would try a different system...

two things:

1)you should have expected rasp with a cutout, only cure is a bullet, B&B, or put your stock exhaust back on

2)your 160 stat is costing you about 5-10 horsepower, due to your computer not pulling out of warm-up mode which pulls timing across the board.

Removing/gutting Cats is only worth about 3-4rwhp. Not worth it if you have to deal with the Smog *****.
I got rid of my CutOut and installed a Random Tech Catback, no rasp.

Oh you'll hear the rasp, trust me. It was loud as hell when I would get on it.
