Default Anyway to mount a 85 or 90mm TB on top of a Vic Jr?

I would like to get a vic Jr with a 85 or 90mm tb on top of it with a cowl hood an an air cleaner on top of it.

Anyone know how I would achieve this?

I am still undecided on if I would go with a MAF or SD

Let me know if anything is already made to make this happen

Thanks,
Josh

p.s. I already know most people use a 4150 4 barrel tb. They are just a little pricy and even the professional products 85mm tb flows more than enough for probably any engine used on the street.

I am trying to get fresh cold air.. I know how elbows work. I would like the throttle body on top of the intake. If you know any way to do that please let me know

I dont think you are gonna find something like that...

First you'd have to figure out how to adapt it. Then after that, you'd need to fiddle with the throttle lever to try to get it to pull in the right direction.

Just sounds like a lot of work. You might as well just go with the 4bbl throttle body. Yeah its more $$, but even if you find an adapter that will fit the regular TB on there, that will probably cost almost as much.

Just get a machine shop to mill you a flat piece of 1/8" stock with thru holes for the 4150 pattern and threaded holes for the 4-bolt patterned 90mm TB. It will probably cost you around $200 or so. If you plan on running a cowl hood on your RX7, you may not have enough room to run a MAF, SD will be the way to go.

FYI, I found a 4-bbl Accel TB for $380 shipped in the classifieds, much better price then purchasing a 90mm TB and having an adapter plate fab'ed up. Do a search for 4150 adapters on google, you may find something.

The other thing is I hear the torque loss is greater when using an elbow on a NA car. So I am trying to avoid it.

Fab the adapter yourself. Go down to a steel warehouse, get a chuck of 1/4 thick aluminum plate and start cutting. Tap some holes for your throttle body of choice and there you go.
