I also installed XS Headers today!!!
Install was amazing!! I've heard so many horror stories about having to grind the block and notch the K-Member or even having to jack up the engine. If those are true I'm not sure what kind of vehicle those brands used to mock up on, mabye something that was previously wrecked??? Well both sides slid right up even with the spark plugs still in.
Anywho I'm super happy!! Headers sealed up perfect just gotta retighten the band clamps. Somehow I think the overall ypipe clearance is better. Never had the rear end break loose in 2nd like it does now either
Oh and LM2 w/ ORY like stated so many times, is obnoxiously loud and nasty.

I also just got my XS header install completely finished yesterday. The install went pretty awesome I think. I would recomend the headers... the only thing I notice now is the kmember is very very close on the drivers side. The exhaust shop tried to get rid a little of the kmember but it still rattles a tiny bit in 1st and 2nd gear. Other then that one little sound that you can't hear much of anyway (heavy foot + loud exhaust), the headers are pretty sweet.

Is there some kind of rule to go by of how much room to have around your exhaust to keep the rattles out? 1/2 or 3/4"? Mine has about 1/4 to 3/8" at that one spot next to the kmember.

If it doesnt rattle, no problems.
If funny how big of tolerances are on these cars. LOTS of people installed the headers with NO problems but one will come up with some type of problem.
Glad yall like them. They are an awsome header for the $$$. Now you can laugh at the people who psid twice as much

How would one go about modifying this setup to also have cats? Could the header side of the y-pipe be shortened to allow cats between the header and y-pipe?
