Default Cat question

So do you lose power by running no cats? Would you get the best power by running headers and high flow cats. or Headers and no cats?

in layman terms think about it as (your engine) pushing against a wall (cats). if there is no wall (no cats) to push through would it be easier to do?

...i know this is really simplified but it gets the point across correct?

no cats = more hp's

You have ALOT of reading you need to do before you post any more questions.

This guy was trying to tell me that having one cat would rob me of tons of power. Right now i have no cat and was possibly going to put on one high flow cat. Would you guys recommend that?

Leave the cats off, unless you worry about getting a ticket.

Having high flow cats will not rob much power, about 10-15rwhp maybe. And I mention cats because most people mount 2, one on each bank after the collector.

Either way, get a dyno tune. And ditch that POS Hypertech III! Those things are garbage!

Peace,
Craig.

just having one cat would be horrible to your performance...just stick with no cats or get 2 high performance ones if you must...
