Can you be a little bit more discriptive on what you are asking? what is the exciter wire for (alternator, A/C compressor, etc) ?

If you can't find the part # go to the dealer and tell them you need and alternator clip with the pig tail.Or buy a set of picks and remove the water proof connector and solder the wire.It comes out but it's a pita.I broke that wire when I installed my headers .

Many parts stores also cary after market pig-tails that are the corect part. One of the sponsors (Speartech or Caspers Electronics?) might/does also sell them.

If not, Yahoo or Google a search for GM connectors or something like ?... I have found hits, but can't put them here as they are non-sponsors (i think).

I got mine at autozone. It was cheaper than the dealer and it was the same thing. It should come with 4 wires instead of the 1 wire. You'll have to clip the other 3 wires. My alternator just took a **** for the second time in 6 months yesterday. I'm going to try and see if they'll give me my money back or credit me for a new one.
