stock manifold bolt on new headers?

Default stock manifold bolt on new headers?

will it work. the bolts that they sent me are way to big. they arnt even close to the right size. if i use the stock manifold bolts will it be ok?

what headers did you get??? The stock bolts may or may not work I would think the flange on the new headers is wider.

i got jet hot long tube headers from lmperformance. the bolts they sent me are to fat.i know that the old ones go in and everything cuz i test fitted two of them on but will they com loose easy or what?

I used the stock bolts on my Pacesetters and I haven't had any problems

+1 I double check the torque every oil change to be safe.

Be very careful if you use the stock exhaust bolts. Most companies use a thinner flange than the stock exhaust manifolds. There are several threads of people who broke the bolts trying to torque them. Last thing you want to do is have to pull the head due to a broken bolt.

I ended up using some new LS2 bolts. They have bigger heads.

I was explicitly told NOT to use loc-tite... something about the material differences between the bolts and the heads could brew a recipe for disaster in some cases. Just what I heard from more than a couple people. I used stock bolts on my pacesetters btw
