I would say it depends on how much of a restriction the cat represents to the engine system.

For example an old pellet style converter on 70's car could represent around a 30-40 hp loss, but a modern converter on a relatively mild engine may only lose 5-10 hp. Another example would be putting a single 2.25" cat on a twin turbo large cube LSX engine; it's going to restrict flow a lot more than if it was put on a stock Ls1.

Pretty much on a mild combo, twin converters I'll make a guesstimate of 15 hp give or take 5.

I gained about 15rwhp through the whole powerband with my cut-out.

I put he cats at the same time as the cutout.

Lost 16 RWHP cutout close
Lost 8 RWHP cutout open.

I use 3" Metallic T-bolts.

with highflow cats it wont be a huge difference... you might see a few hp gain
