Default header trouble

hello everyone i bought some kooks race headers and know im installing them but thier just not fitting dont know what im doing wrong pass side when in fine but driver sides kicking my *** i keep getting stuck between oil filter mount and the k member please give me some input i would greatly apprieciate it thanks

did you trim your casting tab on the block? mine wouldnt go in till i cut that ****** off with the sawzall...

It sounds like he's stuck before the tab if I'm reading correctly.

Cutting the tab is what did it for me, but I was on poly mounts. You might need to jack the motor just a hair, maybe?

Oh, and FULLY VERTICAL, remember.

I have my floorboard a few taps with a hammer and it slid right in

just put some lt's in yesterday, just put some *** into it they will go, might dent up the oil filter a little but thats about it

did you follow the instructions carefully, make sure you drink at least 6 beers during the install. works wonders

when we installed them on a 02 SS we just diconnected the driverside motor mount and jacked one side of the engine up and the sucker slid right in. a lil work but it got the job done.
