Default Oil Pan Removal LS6

Hey guys,

How can I get the oil pan out of my 02 Z06? Do I just unbolt and it drops or do I have to remove some other parts?

Go to the internal forum. The third sticky down is a rod bolt install. An awsome write up on how to get the pan out.

Thanks,

I would have to drop the whole suspension out of the car and have the engine suspended. I'm not doing that.

I dropped 2 bolts from getting the cam and cam retainer out. We got one out the front with a magnetized screw driver and I got lucky when I reached into the oil pan. The C5 pan has the batwing looking thing. That pan comes off separate from the oil pan. I was able to reach right beside the pickup and BAM! it was right there. PHEW!!.

Thanks,

Josh
