PCV Question With Oil Catch Can

PCV Question With Oil Catch Can *PIC*
Do you all recommen this new PCV Valve? P/N 12572717
Also, when i did the oil where the PCV sits in the rubber hose there is a tear that is supoosed to be there. There is a metal clip that you put through the tear in the rubber hose that wraps around the PCV Valve. My question is, there is a little bit of oil seepage that comes outta that little tear. how do you fix that?
In the pic you can see what i am talking about. Look what i circled in red. You can see the metal clip, and the oil seeps out onto the hoose beneth.
Any ideas?

LOL you work for the government
You are right. It is on the passanger side valve cover 1 clip only that is attached to the PCV valve. Why you asking? that is where the seeps out a bit

you know what i am not sure if that is the P/N for the truck PCV. How can you tell?
I am using the catch can to, but i have a little bit oil seeping through the rubber hose where the metal clip is. if you look at my original post you can see what i am talking about. do you have a pic of yours? I think that i am still going to replace the PCV valve....

Yes, federal gov.
The truck pcv valve is a better design than the one's that came on our cars. I'm guessing that your hose, where the oil is seeping out, may be dry rotted or just deterating. Not sure.
Working on the LS6 valley cover mod, I pulled the manifold and found oil on top of the ls1 valley cover, pulled the knock sensors and valley cover to discover the two gaskets that are pushed into the knock sensor recepticals came off the valley cover, so that explains the oil under the madifold. With changing out the pcv system to the Ls6 there is only a hose that runs from the valley cover to the manifold. I'm hoping this will fix the little bit of oil that gets into my manifold.
Keep us posted with what you find out.

The biggest PIA for the ls6 valley cover mod is cutting the boss off the block. Check out this artical: http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=18 . I broke like 7 discs cutting the boss so far. Going to pick up more tonight to finish it off.

Instead of taking the vacuum from the valve cover location, the vacuum comes from the valley. There isnt much in the way of oil under the valley cover so it keeps oil out of the intake. You end up removing about 3 hoses from around the mainfold. Like the one that your having problems with leaking. Cleaner looking engine compartment.

Something like $50.75
Read the write up at http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=18 Tell's you step by step on how to do it. It flows better, air and not the oil.
