Default Best box muffler to replace my Flowmaster 80...

Sup, lookin' at eventually upgrading my outdated Flowmaster 80 (1 in, 2 out) just b/c i've had it for so long and am looking for a different sound. My goals are as follows, any help would be appreciated (sound clips are welcome too, i've already destroyed LS1Sounds):

- LOUD
- mean (i like the sound of Borla, but expensive)
- 2 outs (want 2 functional tips)
- want to spend under $200 (that's MAX)
- need clearance (this shouldn't be an issue but i want to be able to simply swap my muffler now w/ another one, same spot behind the axle)
- good flow

Thanks.

Why the hell do you want a box muffler? I have a Loudmouth bullet for sale you can swap right in there. I was gunna use my LM bullet, but I went true duals.

cause a bullet doesn't have 2 out, that's the main reason. Not interested in LM though, heard they rear their ugly side once you start modding the engine.

I was going to suggest buying the Hooker muffler since I like mine, but if you want it a little louder I think the magnaflow will be good for you.

I've heard magnaflow is pretty quiet till you hit WOT, lookin' for a nice loud idle as well.

Got duals right now (non electric). But they DO start to wear on you after a while, so i gotta plug 'em up.

I have Hooker LT & ORY with the Flowmaster Catback too. I have a cut out before the axle. I too have wanted to replace my muffler but it sounds good now. The Hooker is ok and Magnaflow is too quiet at idle. So I'm keeping my POS one for now. The Flowmaster flows for **** but it does sound good. Since we have cut outs what difference does it make? Don't you think?

I guess, it's just that open engine REALLY does get to you after a while (not to mention i have dual cutouts before the Y-merge so it's DIRECTLY underneath me when they are open). Just looking for a good flowing, LOUD exhaust when i have it capped up.

I was gonna say the Spintech muffler as well. I had one and liked the sound, plus it looks pretty cool from behind.

I say spintech to. I've heard one of there cross flow mufflers on a Ls1 car I think it is the best sounding/loud of the crossflow mufflers out there, 2nd choice would be magnaflow

Spintech gonna work w/ my 3" ORY? When i hear "Spintech" i think 4" Mufflex as well.

and as far as the actual products go, which would you recommend of these 3?

^^Sorry man, I forgot u wanted dual outlets... You're gonna have to use one of their street split case mufflers... They're not bad, just won't flow as well or be as loud as the race style.

Neither, those are all single in/out style mufflers... Here's the part# you need if u decide to go with a Spintech.

No no no, i'll cross that bridge when i get here. Out of the 3 i've shown you (let's just pretend i don't have to have 1 in 2 out), which would be the best?

Gotcha, but I still wouldn't use either of those listed, here's why... the first is way to small & is intended for a dual exhaust set-up, not a single... The other two u listed won't work because they are an oval piped muffler, yours is round... Here's the one I used, only mine was in a 4" version... Sounded great, but was a lil loud for my taste... This is what I would recommend for a 3" set-up.

It's name seems a little ironic...

Quick question: can you split a pipe so that it will flow through 2 tips after it leaves the 1 out? Thanks for all the help man.
