Default When should the coil packs be changed?

Just as it says. I have 60K on the factory packs. What are the signs that I should toss some new ones on?

I am not near mine but I guess the easy answer is the owners manual would say when they would need to be changed out?

After a little research it seems as though the coils are either good or bad, no need to replace. However, the second I have $600 laying around I will jump on them on the basis of an appearence modification to complement the wires...

As for MSD's claims of increased spark output and decreased time it takes to deliever, I doubt you would see any type of difference on a stock motor. It would take some crazy kind of cylinder pressure to need a spark like that.

When a coil fails, then change it.

Right there is no need to change a coil unless it is failing or misfiring

Right! Mine have 196k on them with no issues. Not to mention the stock coils are used all the way into single digit time slips with no porblems.
