Default Looking for Hi-temp LS-1 coil

Does anyone know of a hi-temp version of the LS-1 Coil. (other than the MSD coil) ? I thought I saw an Ad on the GM tech page for a company that was advertizing extra hi-temp coils but I didn't bookmark the thread and can't find it. It seemed to me that they were also selling valve covers & had a coil re-location kit that wasn't released yet.

Thanks

Never heard of a high temp coil & if there is such a thing you don't need them. The stockers are fine & have powered several cars into the 9's.

MSD coils are a waste of money unless your a race car & have the money to blow.

As for the coil relocation kits several vendors offer kits for that with custom length plug wires.

I know the asa car coils are more resistant to heat and have cooling fins on them. You might check with gm since the asa engines are sealed ls1's there might be a spec part# for them.

i think they use the truck coils.. they are the coils with the "fins" on top of them.. we also call those fins "heat sinks" to help disipate heat.

find from 01+ truck coils and you'll see what im talking about.. as far as "heat" that you are refering too.. are you talking about heat resistance or a hotter discharge of the coil ignition? Either or.. not needed and will not yeild any more benifit to your car at all.

the 05+ coils were designed to be slightly more efficient, if thats what you are looking for.. but for something under 1000rwhp.. "upgrading" your coils is basically useless/and or waste of money..
