Default y-pipe banging?

just put my LT's on this weekend, and the y-pipe likes to bang a lot. a buddy of mine took his to a shop and they put this thing on the floorboard that looks like its padded on one side and adhesive on the other. ive never seen header wrap or anything so i wouldnt know if thats what it was. anyone know of anything that is carried at o'reillys or lowes that sounds similar?

use a valve spring or a drum brake spring and put it in between your body and y-pipe under driver seat either tack weld it or use tie wire to hold it in place and you should have no more problems enjoy

you can buy the Y pipe hanger from ws6store that's supposed to stop it ($40) or go with what the other guys are using. Is it causing your knock sensors to react?

I bought the Mufflex bump stop hanger and its junk!!! I used a rubber exhaust hanger(the ones that are like an inch thick) and no more banging!! I was worried about it melting but 2 months later and it's still workin mint
