What engine are you talking about ? (GenIII?) or SBC/BBC ?

If you talking about the Gen III.. try looking at the LS6 Valley cover which as the PCV system in the valley cover and you can then remove the valve cover PCV System.

If you talking SBC.. Early engine had a PCV system that included a oil sperator can in the valley that exited out the rear (top) of the block, then they switch to a PCV system that was on the Intake, but used the Filler neck on the front of the intake.
